- From unlisted references if you authorize it
- From your communication with us
We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with (and often exceed) Federal standards to protect your privacy. We routinely test our systems and site to ensure that unauthorized access doesn’t occur. However, no one is immune to hacking. We can’t guarantee that unauthorized parties will not gain access, nor can we control how the companies with whom you decide to share your information will maintain your confidentiality
This site is designed for people who are employed or currently seeking employment. We work hard to help you get the job you want and deserve. In exchange, we ask you to respect our User Agreement.
By using this site, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
You may not access or use this site if you do not have the minimum age for employment (14 years old in the U.S.), if you are a competitor or if you have been previously banned from this site.
You must provide your real name and information. You will not misrepresent your identity, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.
Bona Fide Feedback
You must provide honest, objective and accurate information when you provide feedback on someone else. Only make comments for which you have first-hand knowledge.
Respect For Differences
You must be respectful of differences. Discriminatory comments based on age, gender identity, race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation are strictly prohibited.
You release and hold harmless Terefic, prospective employers and the people who provide feedback about you from any liability arising from use of this site.
In addition to the terms listed above, your agreement with us also includes General Terms that are commonly used in the internet industry.
You acknowledge and agree that we own and shall continue to own, all proprietary right, title and interest in and to terefic.com and all site content, including without limitation, site design, text, graphics, and interfaces. Any use of the materials we provide on this site including reproduction, modification, distribution, or replication, any form of data extraction or data mining or other commercial exploitation of any kind without prior written permission of an authorized officer of Terefic is strictly prohibited.
You must not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts this site (or the servers and networks which are connected to this site). You will not attempt to access this site by automated means or by any means other than through the interface that we provide.
Exclusion of Warranties
You expressly understand and agree that your use of this site is at your sole risk and that the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. TEREFIC, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, in no event will Terefic be liable for any for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special consequential or exemplary damages, or damages resulting from lost data or lost employment opportunity) arising from any use or inability to use this site, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Terefic is advised of the possibility of such damages..
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Terefic, its officers, directors, employees and agents, for all damages, losses and costs (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) related to all claims, actions or demands resulting from (1) your failure to comply with these Terms or the applicable User Agreement, (2) your communications with prospective employers and individuals for whom you provide a reference, and (3) any activity in which you engage on or through this site.
We may discontinue or suspend or terminate, without notice or liability, your access to the site, for any violation of these Terms or any other agreement with Terefic or for any other use of the services or this site that we, at our sole discretion, deem improper. You may also close your account at any time, by following the instructions on the Blackout pages in “Account Settings”. You understand and acknowledge that termination of your account may result in the deletion of all of your information from Terefic’s systems.
This User Agreement constitutes a contract made under and governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any claims or disputes arising from or related to this User Agreement. You also agree to waive any right you may have to object to the venue of such courts and your constitutional right to a trial before a jury.
Availability Outside the U.S.
Terefic makes no claims that this site may be lawfully viewed or accessed outside of the United States. Access to the site may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If you access the site from outside of the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

Image Upload Policy
We encourage you to take advantage of the image upload features. It help the people who endorse you and your prospective employers remember who you are. We ask you to respect the following guidelines:
- Your profile picture must be your likeness and a head-shot photo.
- Images containing nudity, profanity, or sexually graphic material are strictly prohibited.
- Don’t upload proprietary images for which you don’t hold the rights.
